My Spring Colouring Book is Now Available!

I am so excited to welcome Spring after a long and cold Calgary, Canada winter! As the days grow longer and we're spending more time outside with the sights and sounds of Spring around us, we are also filling our home with Spring-themed activities for our toddler to appreciate and understand the changing seasons.

To celebrate the arrival of Spring - I am thrilled to share that my Spring Colouring Book, Perfect for Toddlers is now available for your little ones to enjoy.

Illustrated cover with green plants, pink flowers, and blue sky. Text: "Spring colouring book, perfect for Toddlers." Carmen's Corner.
Now available

Designed specifically for toddlers (ages 1-4), it’s all about sparking creativity and supporting your child’s growth while embracing the wonders of spring. Let’s dive into what makes this book so special and how you can get your hands on it today!

A Colouring Book Made Intentionally for Little Hands

As a toddler parent I am very intentional about the activities for our kiddo - That’s why I created Springtime Colouring Book with little hands in mind.

Each of the 36 pages features a single, large image with bold, simple lines—perfect for toddlers using chunky crayons or markers.

Side note - my favourite crayons are the Jar Melo Jumbo Crayons for Toddlers (we have the 24 pack). They are smooth and the colours are vibrant, but ALSO they are so easy to clean if marks are made on anything (from wood to our rug to clothing).

Back to the colouring book - the illustrations are realistic and nature-focused, helping your child connect with the world around them. There are no fantasy elements here, making it a great fit for Montessori and Waldorf families who value real-world imagery for young learners.

A note on Montessori & Waldorf & colouring books

I take inspiration from specific parenting paradigms, but we do not strictly adhere to one specific framework. Both Montessori & Waldorf do not typically encourage the use of colouring books, and they advocate more for free art without the prompts of lines and pictures. In theory I love this, but in practice I have a kiddo who LOVES to colour and from the first time she was exposed to a colouring book has asked me for more. Given that she really enjoys this, and we do incorporate free art & creativity, I wanted a colouring book that still adheres to the Montessori & Waldorf Principles that I believe are valuable for our kiddos.

The images are big and simple.

They are realistic and recognizable.

All the images are real-world images.

There is only one image per spread to minimize distractions.

The images range in complexity and there are ones included specifically to encourage more creativity.

This colouring book includes a few pages with bold Spring themed words that can be used for storytelling and discussion, but I also included it because I saw that our toddler did enjoy colouring words (initially I assumed she wouldn't because they are smaller).

36 coloring images featuring nature themes like spring, leaf, puddle. Greenery and flowers in the background. Text promotes creativity.

Spring Colouring Book is my second colouring book for toddlers! My first book, Simple Colouring Book, Perfect for Toddlers is a general collection with 55 images, covering a wide range of themes like animals, shapes, and everyday objects. Why Parents Love This Colouring Book

This book isn’t just about colouring—it’s a tool for growth. The large, bold designs help toddlers develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, which are key for early learning. Pages with open creativity spaces (like designing a pattern on a boot) encourage imaginative expression, while the nature-based illustrations foster a connection to the world around them. Parents following Montessori or Waldorf principles will appreciate the focus on realistic imagery and the absence of fantasy elements, making it a meaningful addition to your child’s activities.
